About these terms

These terms govern your use of the Material Memory Studio website (materialmemorystudio.com) and our services — workshops, coaching sessions, residencies and events. By booking or taking part, you agree to them.

Our services

Material Memory Studio provides:

  • ·Private coaching sessions (Border Crossing Sessions, Wheel of Life + Harada Chart)
  • ·Group and private workshops (Artist Practice, Solopreneur, Open Call & Residency, material workshops)
  • ·Guest host programmes and events
  • ·Studio residencies and stays

All sessions are by appointment. Availability and format may change; where a change affects a booking you have already made, we will tell you and you may cancel with a full refund.

Booking and payment

  • ·A session is confirmed on payment, or by mutual agreement over KakaoTalk or email
  • ·Payment methods: bank transfer (KRW), and Stripe for card and international payments (USD)
  • ·Prices are shown in both KRW and USD where applicable. The amount charged is the one shown at checkout.

Right to withdraw

Separately from the cancellation policy below, you have a statutory right of withdrawal under Article 17 of the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce: you may withdraw within 7 days of receiving the written contract details, or from the day the service begins if that is later. Where the two differ, the statutory right prevails.

Please note in advance: once a session has actually begun, the service counts as having been supplied, and withdrawal is limited from that point (Article 17(2)3). Cancelling before the session starts is not affected. Refunds are returned by the route you paid by, within 3 business days of the withdrawal taking effect.

Cancellation and refunds

Outside the statutory withdrawal period above, this is our own policy for cancelling a confirmed booking:

  • ·7+ days before — full refund
  • ·3–6 days before — 50% refund, or a free reschedule
  • ·Less than 3 days, or a no-show — no refund

Even inside 3 days, a reschedule may still be possible — ask us. And if we cancel a session for any reason, you receive a full refund regardless of when.

Materials and what you make

  • ·Workshop materials — slides, guides, worksheets — are ours, and are provided for your own use
  • ·What you make during a workshop — websites, plans, creative work — is entirely yours. We claim nothing in it.
  • ·Please do not redistribute, resell, or publish the materials without asking. Sharing them inside your own team needs no permission.

What this is, and is not

  • ·Coaching and workshops are educational and reflective. They are not therapy, and not legal, medical or financial advice.
  • ·We do not promise particular business outcomes, revenue, or results.
  • ·Decisions you make and actions you take afterwards are your own.

Photography and recording

We may photograph workshops for documentation and social media. Tell us at the start if you would rather not be photographed — that is enough, and you do not need a reason. Sessions are sometimes transcribed for notes; you can ask us to stop at any point. Recording by participants needs everyone’s agreement first.

Privacy

What we collect, who else handles it, how long it is kept, and how to have it deleted is set out in the Privacy Policy.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. If a dispute arises, please raise it with us first — we would rather sort it out directly. Failing that, jurisdiction follows the ordinary rules of law; nothing here narrows the court you are otherwise entitled to bring a claim in.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the new version is posted on this page with a new effective date. A booking already confirmed is handled under the terms that were in effect when you booked — a change here does not reach backwards into it.
