Artist Practice Workshop for the AI Era

Group Workshop · Online & In-Person

Participant Reviews · April 2026

4 participants. All recommended 9–10 / 10.

“Shock and revelation. I didn’t know what I didn’t know. AI can organize folders, build websites, create mockups for exhibition proposals — I had no idea any of this was possible.”

— Ajin Lim · Recommendation 10/10

“It was a fun workshop — I learned just how far you can go when you use AI well. I've already installed VS Code and started building my own website with Claude.”

— Kim Hanbyul · Recommendation 10/10

“I already had some experience with AI tools, but through this workshop I felt like I relearned how to approach open calls and opportunities as an artist from the ground up.”

— Workshop participant · Recommendation 9/10

“I was amazed the entire session — the way you broke down exactly which parts of an artist’s work AI can assist with. Grateful for the passionate teaching at just the right time.”

— Workshop participant · Recommendation 10/10

“I had no idea about AI tools at all before this — it helped so much. Thank you.”

— Workshop participant · Recommendation 10/10

Group workshop in session at Material Memory StudioOverhead view of artists working together

April 4, 2026 · First session at Material Memory Studio, Seoul

This is a 3-hour group workshop for artists who feel that their work and their website, Instagram, portfolio, or artist statement haven't kept up — or who haven't yet built the systems to support their practice in the current digital landscape. The session moves through four structured phases: from brand clarity to channel audit, to practical content work, to open call research.

Digital tools — including GPT, Gemini, Claude, and others — are used throughout as practical aids. Not as the subject of the session, but as a means of getting real work done: a clearer sense of your brand language, an updated artist statement, and a concrete starting point for open call applications.

Well-suited for artists who have a body of work but feel their professional presence doesn't reflect it; who are curious about digital tools but haven't made them part of their workflow; or who want a structured, supported environment for the kind of practical work that tends to get postponed.

Exhibition floor plans and mockups — AI can generate them.
Your website doesn't need to be edited manually anymore.
No more exporting photos one by one in multiple sizes.
The entire computer folder structure — reorganized in one go.

Recommended For

Artists who have a body of work but haven't yet found the language to describe it
Artists whose Instagram, website, or portfolio doesn't yet reflect their current practice
Artists who want to approach open calls, residencies, and exhibition applications more systematically
Artists who have heard of AI tools but haven't yet connected them to their practice

You don't need a polished portfolio or finished artist statement. That's exactly what we'll work on together.
